UK. Pensions Dashboard Programme publishes updated timeline with breakdown of next six months

The Pensions Dashboard Programme (PDP) has published an updated timeline outlining steps and timings for data providers to enable the industry to prepare for connecting with the dashboard ecosystem.

The timeline – published today (13 May) – outlines architecture procurement should have begun last month, while a retirement income guidance update for pension providers will be available in the summer.

Additionally, the programme’s architecture supplier on-board and publishing of the ecosystem governance model will commence in the autumn and a consultation on the regulatory framework will be published in the winter.

The digital architecture of the dashboard will enable multiple parties to be connected in a secure ecosystem that delivers pensions dashboards for individuals. It contains elements including the identity service, the consent and authorisation service, the pension finder service, and the governance register.

Also in the winter, the programme will publish technical guidance to support data provider technical development activity.

Ongoing consumer testing and user research will continue over the next six months with a consumer protection update expected in the summer and early consumer testing to commence also in the summer.
